CJ Xuning Wang

CJ Xuning Wang is an engineer, inventor, global business leader, and philanthropist. He founded home appliance brand Joyoung, and is currently the Chairman and CEO of JS Global and the Refounder and Chairman of SharkNinja.



Mr. Wang invented the first automatic soymilk machine in 1994 and that year also founded Joyoung. His invention of the automatic soymilk machine launched an entirely new market of household appliances, catapulting Joyoung to become one of China’s biggest home appliance brands. Joyoung listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange in 2008. In 2017, he acquired SharkNinja, helping usher in a new era of growth at the company. He then merged Joyoung and SharkNinja by founding JS Global, helping to list in Hong Kong in 2019, and in 2023, he helped take SharkNinja to independently list on the New York Stock Exchange.



Mr. Wang is also a strong philanthropic supporter of both education and nutrition initiatives. The Joyoung Foundation has supported rural elementary schools in China for decades with “Joyoung Hope Kitchens,” providing the facilities and equipment for warm and nourishing meals. In the US, Mr. Wang’s family foundation has supported schools to build Makerspace facilities, providing the space, equipment, and expertise for students to enhance learning and innovation.



Mr. Wang holds an MBA from the China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) and a Bachelor of Science from Beijing Jiaotong University.
